Question : I have some avi files that won’t play in divx or windows media player, what do i do? what kind of a codec fo i need, i already have the k-lite codec installed on my computer
Best answer:
Whatever you do dont install the codec packs. That will make you problems worst. What you need to do is download Codec Sniper. Its a small file and you will click on it to start the program. Once it is up and running you simply go to the file which you want to play and the software will tell you which codec the program needs.
Once you know which codec is short then you can search the internet for that codec. Codec packs make a mess as it installs what you dont need. So download Codec Sniper and then find your codec. The VLC player will play most files available and normally does not need any codecs.
