Green dots when watching on VLC or Gom?

Green dots or artifacts on a video can be caused by a number of issues, including codec compatibility, a corrupted or damaged video file, or a problem with the playback software.

If you are using VLC player or Gom player and the green dots only appear on certain videos, the issue may be related to codec compatibility. Try playing the video on a different player to see if the problem persists.

If the problem occurs with all videos, it could be an issue with the playback software or with your computer’s graphics card. Try updating the software or your graphics card driver to see if that resolves the issue. See also the GOM Player codecs needed as well as the I get sound and no video on this webiste.

If the problem only occurs on certain videos, it could be a problem with the video file itself. Try re-downloading or re-encoding the video to see if that resolves the issue. Also take a look at the Codec Tweak Tool on here.
